Your therapist.
I am a qualified therapist with a PgDip in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Groupwork and a COSCA Certificate in Counselling Skills, and I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
I have completed over 200 hours of client work and psychoeducation groupwork with the NHS, Shakti Women’s Aid, and One Parent Families Scotland, supporting people through a range of emotional and psychological difficulties. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the impact that distress, life experiences and relationships can have on our wellbeing.
My approach is collaborative, compassionate and grounded in clinical practice. I aim to offer a safe, respectful and non-judgemental space where you can explore what you are experiencing, develop a greater understanding of yourself, and work towards meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you.
I undertake regular clinical supervision as part of my ongoing professional development and commitment to safe, ethical and reflective practice.
I know that the first step may be the hardest, so I’m hopeful showing you what to expect will make it a little bit easier!
This is what you’ll expect to see when you’re working with me. The sessions happen through an online video-link in a confidential setting.
You’ll also notice my little dog on my lap throughout sessions.
Realistically, my table will be a bit messier, containing also some notes I will take during the sessions and some tools we can use together in the sessions.
I offer a free 15-minute introductory consultation to see if we would be a good fit for each other. This will also give me an opportunity to address any concerns, questions or doubts you may have.
I look forward to hearing from you!
